Wondering why there is no challenge

Thats because of one thing called complacency

Think along with me, things were great when it was fresh and new

Then you got the prize and settled in all comfy

But people always revert to what they are

You saw it but wasnt very sure from the start

You cant change what a person is on the inside

After that initial spark and challenge ends

One of you will look for a new way of euphoria

Sorry to tell you but its the human moratorium

So when you wonder why your relationship goes sour

Don’t blame yourself, blame complacency each of those hours

You will never beat complacency and you all feel it

Once you reach that comfort level you stop trying

Then you look at a new challenge and start lying

You can say no that isnt me

But you know that exactly how it will be

The initial burst of lust will be over and you’ll want that feeling

Im the only one to actually say this out loud

Been there did that, get your head out the cloud

Don’t look for eternal love and relevancy

Because in the end we all succumb to complacency
