Sometimes I think of back to when I was a child

All I wanted to do was play, have fun and smile

Go outside and play until the street lights came on

Go inside shower, eat and watch cartoons on Nickelodeon

Get ready to go to school and learn something new

Come home and show my parents what I could do

Then get ready for vacation through the summer

Playing for 3 months, summer homework’s a bummer

Enjoying cookouts and bbqs, along with trips to the zoo

Learning about the animals that you didn’t know, like emus

I love to reminisce about what it was like then

From boy to man,  a kids life don’t rush, if you can
